Information is used to create and secure accounts, process orders, arrange delivery, provide customer support, manage vendors and riders, prevent fraud, improve the marketplace, send service notifications and comply with legal obligations.
Payments
Payment transactions may be processed by payment providers enabled by Food Baskket, including providers such as Paystack or Flutterwave when active. Sensitive card details are handled by the payment provider according to its own security and privacy practices. Food Baskket may retain transaction references, status, amount and related records needed for reconciliation and support.
Location and delivery information
Delivery addresses and relevant delivery details are used to fulfil orders. Information necessary to complete a delivery may be shared with the assigned vendor and rider. They are expected to use it only for the order and delivery purpose.
Vendors and riders
Where you use vendor or rider features, we may process business, identity, banking or operational information required to review the account, make settlements, assign deliveries, maintain records and protect marketplace users.
Sharing of information
We may share only the information reasonably necessary with vendors, riders, payment providers, hosting or technology providers, professional advisers, regulators or law-enforcement authorities where required. We do not sell your personal information as a product to advertisers.
Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect passwords, devices and one-time codes.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain transaction and accounting records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and meet legal or regulatory obligations.
Your choices and rights
You may update certain account information from your profile and can contact Food Baskket to request help with access, correction or deletion where applicable. Some transaction or compliance records may need to be retained even after an account is closed.
Children
Food Baskket is intended for users who can lawfully enter into transactions or use the service with appropriate parent or guardian involvement.
